Server Name: TheCommunityZ.com – 1PP | Vanilla | Organic RP

Server IP: 87.236.196.137:2302

There are no mods installed and there is no password.

Just type the IP, the name or even just ” CommunityZ ” into the search field and join the server!

Make sure you are searching within the “Community” tab and not within official servers.

Sometimes it takes a while for all the servers to load.

While playing on our Server you are not allowed to communicate over any 3rd party Voice Over IP Program (like discord, teamspeak, steamvoice..) with others.

Speaking in game instead makes the world buzz, feel more real and immersive.

You’re taking away possible awesome interactions from yourself and from others by breaking it. You will never know who might be hiding behind the next corner, overhearing your words that can start an awesome storyline for both of you.

If you don’t want to follow our special rule, please chose a different server. There are many servers out there without this rule, so leave this one for the ones that enjoy the game with it. Or simply give it a try – and check your radio!

Wikipedia:

Metagaming is an example of “breaking character”, as the character is making decisions based on information they couldn’t know. “

To be precise we specified the meta rule for open discord groups & social media platforms:

  • – No revealing of bases
  • – Do not mention locations.
  • – Do no live meta (anything <1h)
  •
  • So no matter what message/video/photo etc you want to share, simply wait 1 hour and make sure to not give any details of bases or locations.

The server concept is inspired by Barely Infecteds The Village Server that was online from 2017-2020: “No rules, build and maintain a village!”.

The mission of the server is to have a community base on an open server run by volunteers, with only a minimal set of rules.

The Community as a location is the whole servers community base, open for everyone to join. Everything else get’s dealt with organically ingame – so go get involved! Gather food & supplies or help to defend it and bring in your ideas in-game.

The location of the community base is disclosed and changes from time to time.

You have to build a relationship with other survivors either via the radio or by meeting them. They might eventually guide you the way.

Use your radio to get hints or ask other survivors you meet – but be careful who you trust.

It can be a challenge to find us, but the adventure surely is worth it!

We don’t run any mods that would ensure a safe-zone and there are no server rules against killing on sight or banditry. You can die at & around the base just like everywhere else on the server. Player made “rules” ingame can change how the base is run organically. Go get involved ingame if you want to join or change something.

The volunteers often do their best to keep the base as secure as possible, but it’s part of DayZ to never be completely safe, and there have always been people attacking the camp.

Join the community, work together, think about a defending strategy and make the place safer if needed.

Be careful when approaching the base, you can always get killed – for example when you seem like a threat (weapon in hand, sneaking around while it’s under attack…) or when the base is occupied by attackers. Try the radio if you’re unsure what’s going on!

Most of us simply enjoy the vanilla game – pure 1PP vanilla servers are rare out there. With the current state of the game our server concept seems to work out fine without needing any mods.

We like the challenge of having a true survival game with dark nights, no crosshair, 1PP and no 3rd party VoIP.

A vanilla server also gives us the opportunity of reporting feedback back to the developers, because there are no mods interfering.

Mods can drop the game performance or cause other issues, especially resulting in potential delays and more admin work when it comes to game & mod updates.

The only thing we changed are some small  loot economy changes – you can find the recent setup in our discord server info.

Possible examples we did in the past:

  • – increased radio & 9v battery spawn amounts for our no 3rd party VoIP rule
  • – letting the colorful weapon variants spawn in – they are in the vanilla files but normally set to spawn in ‘0’
  • – no NVGs

All changes & ideas get voted on in our discord, join us & voice your suggestions!

Our admin council bans if proper proof is given via our report system.

We’re as transparent as possible, you can see any bans within the discord ban log. It also shows whether a permanent or temporary ban was given.

Some kicks and bans may happen automatically (e.g. for existing VAC bans or high ping spikes).

If you find yourself unrightfully banned fill in an unban appeal and present us why you should get unbanned.

Please be honest and stay respectful.

The main reasons why we will not give out the evidence regarding your ban is to protect the reporters identity/privacy.

The server, the discord, the website and our social accounts are run & paid for by us, a team of DayZ-loving volunteers:

Daniel / Dr. D. Breuer
Ghost
Kieran / Kplan
Malte
Mogust
McBeal
Nika
Razzah
Scruffy

Yes. Reports are only visible for the communityz team, and get reviewed and voted on by the council admins (5 members).

If a ban is issued, the ban reason and ban length is shown in our public discord ban-log. The steam-account of the banned person will be linked 48 hours later.

Any other info you provide to us will stay between us. The evidence is not shown to the reported player(s) or anyone else. We will not tell anyone who the reporter was either. We protect our sources and thank you for helping us enforce our rules.
